Sewing room

Aug 17, 2008
It has been a long time since my last post. I have really been slacking on this blog. As promised, I said I would share my new sewing room. This is my little space 10X10 but I love it. I need to buy some spool holders for all my thread and get some more cabinets but for now this is where I go to sew...my very own little space. I'm not sure if this is normal for all sewers and crafters.....BUT......do you buy things and put them away and forget where you put them? Even though my room is small.....I can't seem to find anything. Oh, most of my supplies are in cabinets in my basement....they wouldn't fit in this little room.
Well, I'm off to make tutu's....promise I won't be a slacker!!!

Sewing Room Sneek Peeks

I am getting so excited!!! My sewing room is almost complete. What an ordeal this was. We started this renovation back in the summer and it is finally showing signs of completion. Besides a sewing room, My oldest son Tyler is getting an apartment as he calls it, right next to my sewing room. We thought it was time for him to learn some independance. Tyler is visually impaired due to being shaken as a baby. We want him to be as independant as possibly so why not start now. He calls it his Elvis room since that is his favorite music right now. In the next days to come I will share those pictures as well.

I used my GPS!!!

Last night my son Tyler and I went to see High School Musical on ice. My parents bought us tickets for Christmas. I don't usually like to drive in the city by myself but last night I actually drove to Cincinnati, with the help of my GPS. It rained really hard the whole time and my hands never left the steering wheel. I was sweating bullets the whole way there. LOL. My husband thinks it's funny, but I have no sense of direction at all.Anyway, we had front row seats and I mean front row....we could actually bend forward and touch the ice. The show was amazing!!! For those of you that haven't seen it....the tickets are worth the money. Tyler is visually impaired and can only see in the front row so he thought it was awesome. Tyler was singing and dancing to the music the whole night. I took lots of pics so I'll share a few.
